New York CASAC Certification Training | Distance Learning
The CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) credential is the credential for counselors in New York who work specifically with individuals afflicted with addiction.
The ICDS distance learning program provides prospective CASACs with the education requirements to achieve the CASAC certification.

| Age | At least 18 |
| Education | Minimum High School Diploma/GED |
| Occupancy | Must reside or work in New York State at least 51% of the time |
| Work Experience | 6,000 hours in an approved work environment* |
| Education | 350 hours addiction counseling specific education |
